Hello everyone!!
This week has been busy, but not in the ways you would think. We have spent most of the week in events and I feel like I have learned a lot. Now it is time to get out and put my new knowledge to use!
On Tuesday we were in Zone Conference mostly all day. So we got to hear from our Mission President and his wife and get some trainings from other missionaries. One of the things President Nygaard talked about was being better every day. Think about it... if you did one thing better every day, JUST ONE, you would be a brand new person in a month. He also said something that touched my heart about missionary work. He told us that God made a promise and covenanted that he would gather his children. That is what we are doing here on the earth- fulfilling God's promise and gathering his children! How cool is that?!

This week we had some cool service opportunities. One thing we did was go down to one of the homeless shelters and we got to play games with the kids for an hour. This was so incredible to do! It was hard to see so many people living in hard conditions, but what really impressed me was the faith of all those little kids. They kept moving on like everything was ok and some of the older ones knew that this was hard but kept pressing on and trying to find the good.
The missionaries on this side of the mission spent a day learning about the tabernacle of Moses and the similarities between ancient temples and temples today. We walked through a life size replica of the tabernacle and got to learn about the significance of everything. It was incredible!
Then we had a wonderful lesson with Femi. We had previously given him a pamphlet about the Plan of Salvation and he told us that it made him feel so good and brought him comfort as he read it. Then he asked, "Do you have any more?" We of course said yes! He is so sweet and ready to hear the gospel. He is going through a rough time and told us that whenever he sees and talks to us it just makes him feel so happy. It was a sweet moment to hear that.
I am hoping that we get a lot done this week. Like President Nygaard said we are here to help fulfill the covenant God made with his people. He has not forgotten them. He has not forgotten any of you. Look around you and you can see his hand. Everything is drawing you closer to him!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week with school, work, and all that fun stuff!! I love you!
Love,
Sister Beutler
