Boise Central 1 (Week 2)

This week was non-stop!
Ok, I feel like I say this every week, but this one really was crazy. We went from one thing to the next every day and I have never been so exhausted in my life! On Tuesday we went on exchanges. I spent the day here in my area with Sister Miller. We also had a crazy snow storm that day so we had a few awesome lessons and we shoveled some snow. It was so great!
One Wednesday we spent a lot of time in the mission office for interviews with President Nygaard. He was running kinda a lot behind so we were recruited to help out in the office for a bit. I went in for my interview and I just have to say that I absolutely love my mission President!! He is one of the most Christlike people I have ever met. Every time I talk with him, I feel how much he cares about me and the missionaries in this mission. I got out of my interview to find out that we got a referral! Apparently Sister Phillips (one of our office missionaries) got a call from a guy that lives in Utah and is dating a girl in Idaho. He called and said that she wants to meet with some missionaries! So we called her that night and set up an appointment! She is so incredible and has been through a lot in her life but is really turning to God.
Now Thursday is when things got really crazy. We started out our weekly planning and began with a prayer like always. Then we moved on to organizing baptisms that we have for the coming week, which would be Allura's! We texted her to invite her to another baptism and accidently (this was no coincidence) texted her boyfriend. He responded to us and told us a few things that were a little concerning and said we should reach out to her. We honestly had no idea how to deal with this situation and lets just say that we said lots of prayers and set up a meeting with her for that day. We literally felt like the weight of the world was on our shoulders but once we realized that Heavenly Father was standing with us we knew that everything would be ok. We went into our meeting with her and let me tell you, all the fear I felt and the anxiety that had been building disappeared. I felt so calm and everything went so good! Allura is still set to be baptized this week and she is so excited! I have never met someone more prepared and ready for this. If anything, her testimony is so much stronger after this week and she is ready to take this next step.
That same night we went to our Book of Mormon class that we hold weekly. This was AMAZING!!!! We had 6 people there which was a huge improvement from our class of only 2 last time. Everyone is so excited about learning and is so open in sharing their insights.
Friday we had District Council and did derive at the food bank. This is one of my favorite things to do. The people there are so grateful and it is so humbling to see people with so little overjoyed with the simplest of things.
On Saturday we had Patrick's baptism in the morning. He was so excited and I have to say that I love that little boy. We taught the Restoration at it and the spirit was so strong. Also, there is only one person I know that would sing Book of Mormon Stories at a baptism and that is Patrick. He is hilarious!
Later that day, we got a call from the AP's and they told me that Connor (who I taught back in East Boise) was also getting baptized! So I got to go to that baptism too! It was such a wonderful day!
This week I learned to always trust in the Spirit. There were so many instances that I had no idea what to say or how everything would work out, but it always did. I literally felt the Savior there with me. This is His work and I am so privileged to be a part of this!

Love,
Sister Beutler
