Boise Central 1 (Week 14)

Hello again!
Last week Sister Anglin and I got to sleepover at the mission home, and President Nygaard hinted 2 times that Sister Anglin and I are going to be split up next transfer! whaaaaat? At this point it feels like we'll be together for the rest of my mission..

This week we had some amazing lessons! We had a lesson with Rachael. Her husband is a returning member and she told us that she has been going to church for awhile now but that everyone thinks she is a member already. The Bishop knows but because she is amazing and so involved in everything a lot of people think that she just knows everything. She reached out to us after watching conference because she said she feels like it is time and she wants to really understand the things that she heard. She wants the gospel to be a part of her home and her family. She has 2 little kids that she really wants to raise in the gospel and her husband is a huge supporter of her.

We also had a lesson with Kristina. We had never taught her before, but this week she reached out to us asking to have a lesson. We called her and she was with her husband who is a member. She said she was watching General Conference and she turned to her husband and said, "I need to be baptized within 2 weeks. I'm ready." We were so pumped!! We had a SUPER good lesson and she shared her amazing and powerful testimony of our Savior, and of Joseph Smith, and the Book of Mormon. I feel blessed to teach her!

This Easter week has been a very special one for me. Easter has always been a special day, but with being on a mission, my thoughts were able to be focused solely on the Savior 24/7. I was able to go to bed thinking about Jesus Christ. And then wake up thinking about Him. And every moment in between. I got to take the Sacrament for the first time in 3 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. As I took the sacrament, I was filled with the Spirit. It was in our home, and as I watched these humble missionaries bless the bread and water, I thought of The Savior. I thought about Him with his friends; breaking and blessing the bread and wine. We each got a piece of bread to ourselves. We were able to break the bread and ponder for a bit. I was overwhelmed by the Spirit! I know that Jesus Christ Lives! And he loves us. And because of him we can be made whole again.

Things are definitely going forward out here! We spent a lot of time getting our Facebook pages running this week, but I am happy to say that we now have 12 Facebook pages running throughout our mission!! We still have a lot of things to fix and continue to do, but I am happy about the progress we have made so far. The work continues to progress here, no matter our circumstances. Afterall, this is the work of the Lord. And it will continue to progress until He comes to this earth again. I have no doubt!!

Love, Sister Beutler!
