Boise Central 1 (Week 16)

Hello!! I hope everyone had a great week!!

Important announcement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SISTERS BEUTLER AND ANGLIN HAVE WON THE GOLDEN PLUNGER!!!!!!!!!!
I don't want to brag or anything, but there have only been 2 zone conferences since the whole golden wheel/plunger thing was announced, and we have won BOTH. Dream team for sure!!

Anyway, this week was great as always. This week we had a great mission conference over Zoom! Elder Wong spoke to us, and man he is my FAVORITE HUMAN BEING. Here is my favorite analogy he shared:
"Covid-19 spread across over 180 nations and across oceans. That's how the Book of Mormon can spread across the world! It can spread just like Covid-19 in natural and normal ways." He also made us laugh a lot. He was talking about using technology to do missionary work and how important it is. In this he said, "you think that you can share the gospel with everyone by riding you bikes to every house or by driving your cars? If so then you are silly!" And he kinda laughed a bit after that. Wow! How true is that! There is only so much we can do in person but with technology we are able to reach so many more people!!

We had exchanges this week and I was with a sister who is just starting her mission and really struggling. We talked for awhile and I hope that I was able to help in some way. Talking to her it opened my eyes and it is crazy to see how far I have come! It feels like just yesterday that I got to Idaho and was trying to figure out how to be a missionary. Now, here I am and so much has happened in such a short time. I have loved my mission and wouldn't change anything about it. Both the good and hard times. I love it all!!

This week we saw some miracles for sure!! We put Kristina on date to be baptized, and we have never even had a lesson in person! We also started teaching someone new! His name is Anthony and he referred himself, and said that he read the Book of Mormon the whole day and then we called in the evening. So he said that it was a perfect ending to a perfect day. He even said he wants to be baptized. I can't believe it!! Funny thing is that we have already met him before and we had been trying to work with but he kinda was avoiding us. So it was a miracle that he just reached out to us! People are turning to God in these hard times and He is there. He hears our prayers and is just waiting for us to reach out to him. I never thought I would say this, but I am so grateful for the CoronaVirus!

One of my favorite lessons this week though was with Natalya. We have finished teaching her all the lessons and are continuing to meet with her. This week we had a lesson with her, her mom, her step-dad (who I have to mention wanted nothing to do with us before when we previously met with her), and a family friend that she wants to baptize her. It was so great!! I have gotten to see the gospel change Natalya's life and as it has changed her, we have seen her family dynamics change for the better. The gospel 100% blesses families!!!

My favorite thing ever is teaching. So if you know of absolutely ANYONE that would like to hear a message shoot me an email! Or if any of you need some uplifting, I can definitely do that! God is aware of you and your exact circumstances. I love you all!!

Love,
Sister Beutler
