Boise Central 1 (Week 17)

Hello again!!! Guys, it is so crazy that it is already May!!!! Time is flying, even though we are in isolation.

So this week we went on 2 exchanges! One was an emergency exchange with the Mountain Home Sisters (Sister Ashworth and Leha Uli) because Sister Ashworth told us she suspected she might go home this week. So we took an unexpected trip to Mtn. Home to help them out. We also created a video with their district for their Facebook page. Sister Ashworth did end up going home on Saturday and has to get surgery on her shoulder again!!! It was so sad to say goodbye again and it made me cry only a little bit 😊

We helped out a lot at the Mission Office this week. Our office Missionaries are going crazy. They are all new to their jobs and with so many new Missionaries coming in they needed a few extra hands so this week, we helped organizing a lot of stuff in between our lessons and we also had a big car wash and cleaned out all of our stationary cars so they are ready for this next transfer. We literally spent from 10 AM-5 PM cleaning cars because they were so disgusting!! I've got some horror stories from the cars we cleaned and what we found in them (Christmas stockings, fingernails, rotten eggs... and a lot more). I am now proud to say that those are the absolute cleanest, best smelling cars in our fleet!😂

Okay, I know that I usually say we had some amazing lessons this week.... BUT WE HAD SOME AMAZING LESSONS THIS WEEK!!!

Kristina:
She is so excited for her baptism and told us about some amazing experiences she has been having reading the Book of Mormon.

Natalya:
Usually Natalya is really quiet, but this lesson she was so talkative! She told is that if she could have, she would have had the lessons all on one day and be baptized the next! She has really struggled to set a date for her baptism with the Corona virus but this week she decided that she wants to set a date!! Yay!! She told us that she wants to pray about it and set a date next week!

Anthony:
Ok, so a little back story: earlier this week we posted a video on our Church of Jesus Christ in Boise page and it was of a recent convert's testimony. In this video she pleads with people to not give up and even if we are struggling to hold onto our faith. So during our lesson Anthony was telling us how he almost gave up trying because he was having a hard time understanding the Book of Mormon. He got on Facebook and said that he saw that video and it changed his perspective!!! Wow! We had no idea that it would have an impact on him. He also told us that he has had so many experiences and impressions that this is what he needs to be doing and he told us that he knows this is true. We love him already!

Craig: We first had contact with Craig awhile ago. We have struggled to meet with him during this virus though because he only has a flip phone and most of the time does not have WiFi along with some other things making it hard. He meets at a member's every week for church though, so we had a brilliant idea to have a lesson while he's there on Sunday! This went so well and he told us that learning about the gospel and Jesus Christ has made a huge difference in his life.

Rachael:
Lastly, we had another amazing lesson with Rachael. We taught the Plan of Salvation and the whole time it was so cool to watch her face after every new thing we would talk about. It was like watching the spirit work on her and her realizing how true this all is. At the end she told us, "this just makes so much sense!" She told us how she had been reading the Book of Mormon this week and felt the spirit so strong. She cried as she told us and it was such a sweet experience!

I love this work and I love being a missionary!! I hope you all are looking for opportunities to share the gospel. Everyone needs it and especially during this time. There are people that need YOU right now! I love you all!!!

Love,
Sister Beutler
