This has been a crazy one!
There is so much to tell that I know I will miss some things, but here we go! On Monday we got together with the STLs for an STL conference. It was super great until we got a call that night from Sister Ashworth and Sister Leha Uli. Sister Ashworth called us and said that she slipped in the shower and dislocated her shoulder again! She had to drive all the way to Boise to the ER to get it put back in place. So the next day we spent the night with them. They were both struggling a bit and we tried to help them.
The next day we helped some Sisters pack up their house and get ready to move. We helped them get all ready and out of their house. It was a lot of work!
We also got to do service at the Bishops Storehouse this week and it was so fun! I love getting to get out and serve there every week. I always look forward to it.
Well.... the next day we got a call from another companionship of sisters we cover and they were both super struggling and needed help. We spent the night with them as well and did our best to uplift and help them.
On Sunday our mission President deemed it a day of prayer for our mission. This was the coolest thing ever. So for an entire day we tuned all of our thoughts to God and prayed. This was such an amazing experience. This also happened to be our busiest day. We had 3 lessons in the morning and all three of the people we taught want to be baptized!! As of right now, we are not able to proceed forth with baptisms so we have been teaching and watching miracles happen. This is such an amazing time to be alive.
So as a recap of our week, it was a whirlwind of events. It seems that things always come up and life always continues to throw things our way. I guess that's what keeps life interesting.
That being said, I know that this time has been really hard for a lot of people. It has been hard for me as well, but I am so grateful for the chance I have to still be a missionary and be serving the Lord. I know that this is where I need to be. I have got to watch a lot of missionaries have to go home the past few weeks and it is so hard to see people leave who want nothing else but to stay and serve. All of them would give anything to be here; EVEN if it is in isolation!! It is so important that we all do our best during this time and see the bigger picture. This will not last forever and I know that Heavenly Father has a purpose for everything. There is a plan for all of us and we are in the middle of it. If you are feeling down at this time, please turn to your Father in Heaven. He wants to help you and wants you to feel hope. I promise that there is hope and that He is well aware of your needs.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Love,
Sister Beutler
