Albion (Week 12)

Hello everyone!

This week has been crazy busy getting ready for the Luau we planned. Everyone  in town was really excited and it turned out really well. We had over 150 people there and it really was an accumulation of all the work we have done over the past 12 weeks. We had members and some very unlikely nonmembers that were excited to be there. I danced a hula with Sister Meredith and Emily Loveland (boy am I glad that is over!).

I got to help cook the pig and everything. We dug a pit in the back of the Loveland's and cooked it overnight. We let it cook for 15 hours and then pulled it out and shredded it. It was really gross shredding it because we literally just dug into the pig and tore it apart. I burned my fingers a couple of times. All in all, I probably met about 50 people that I did not know and it was so great. Casey did not come because he is really busy right now planting his fields, but his grandparents were there and they were not as cold as they usually are. The Kelley's (the other very anti family) came up to us after and told us that they loved it. It turned out to be a great success and a wonderful opportunity to meet new people.

We spent a little bit of time at the taxidermy again and got to mount and sew a Kudu. It was cool to see the whole process and it turned out really good. While we were there we got a lot of referrals from the people there and got to spend time and get to know the people that work there.

Today is Sister Meredith's last day in Albion. We get transfer calls tomorrow night and we will see what happens. Since Sister Meredith is leaving tomorrow morning, I will spend the next 3 days in Heyburn in a trio waiting until we have transfers Thursday afternoon. I am all packed and ready to go though because even if I stay here in Albion we are moving to a new house. I am excited/nervous to see how everything works out. I will let you all know next week what happens, but until then have a great week! I love you!

Love,
Sister Beutler
