This week went a lot different than I expected, but I guess that's life, right? Last Monday Sister Weeks made the decision to go home. She has been struggling a lot this past transfer with her health and it has been super hard. After talking with our Mission President, she decided to go home and let her body heal. So, she packed on Tuesday and was gone that afternoon. It actually worked out pretty good with transfers this week.
I am now companions with Sister Dochterman. It is funny because she is actually the first person I met in the MTC coming to Boise! What's also funny is that both our Trainers were companions in Albion together before they went with us!
I spent Tuesday-Thursday in her area in downtown Boise. That was definitely different! A lot more noise, unhappy people, and some shady things going down. She packed and we also had to clean out their entire apartment since they found new housing for that area. You cannot imagine how much random junk gets left behind in missionary apartments! It put all my cleaning skills to the test! I do have to say that it may now be the cleanest apartment in the mission now.
Along with transfers, all the area boundaries were rearranged and we are now covering 4 wards! We have a lot of work to do and I am excited to get out there and get to work!
On Saturday all the missionaries got to attend this big Interfaith Concert held at the Ford Idaho Center. We were to bring someone that we were working with. We went with a guy Sister Dochterman was working with in her area that she also just put on date! He is amazing! The gospel has completely changed his life. He has been able to quit smoking and change his life around. He even brings his friends with him to church and to lessons with the missionaries! The concert was amazing! It featured, the Nashville Tribute Band, Alex Boye, Daniel Emmet, Marie Osmond, and David Archuleta. It was pretty powerful as they testified of Jesus Christ. My favorite was when Marie Osmond sang "How Great Thou Art." That is one of my favorite songs!
He has done so much for us! We cannot even comprehend it all. What else can we do, but share this with others? Think about all He has given you. This beautiful world, family, the gospel, and even his very own son, Jesus Christ. My heart is filled with so much joy when I think about all He has given us. Can we even question his love? I know that he loves every single one of us so much and he knows our individual joys and struggles. He will always hear our prayers and answer them because he loves us!
I also love all of you! Thanks for being such a wonderful strong support to me!
Love,
