Well this week, has been quite an adventure. Sister Weeks and I did some accidental mountain biking. We were running late to one of our service projects and we had a bit of a bike ride to get there. I recalled from one of my first days in this area a trail that Sister McPhee and I walked through to cut through everything. Turns out it was a lot steeper than I remembered. Sister Weeks screamed and I had the thought, "what were you thinking?!" Actually we made it down safely and we were only 1 minute late to our appointment.
This week we invited 2 people to be baptized and they said not at this time. It is something that they see in their future though.
On Sunday we had some crazy things happen. We ate dinner that night with a family in our ward. They were aware of Sister Weeks food situation and everything was going great. We left and Sister Weeks told me that she felt really awful. We started biking and it got even worse to the point where she could hardly bike. So we started heading back to our apartment so she could get some medicine and right as we turned into our apartment, Sister Weeks hit a huge pothole and crashed her bike. I heard the crash and her scream right after. She landed on her elbow and was in a lot of pain. I was right in front of her so I hurried over to her and pulled her bike off of her. There was probably 5 people out walking around that also ran over to help. We got her inside and tried to get her cleaned up. She would hardly let me touch her arm it hurt so bad. We called our Ward Mission Leader and him and a Dr in our ward came to give her a blessing. They looked at her arm and said it would probably be a good idea to get it xrayed. Our Mission President and Mission Doctor agreed so we spent all last night in the ER waiting to get her looked at. We didn't get home until 1AM! Turns out she is ok. It is just a really bad bone bruise and will be very sore for a few weeks. I was thankful for that! It felt weird being out so late. I was definitely ready for bed when we got home!
So, it's been an eventful week and I am excited to see what new adventures this week brings on. Hopefully no more bike adventures!
I love you all so much! Thank you for being a great support and for loving me!
Love,
Sister Beutler
