Life is still moving along here in Boise. This week we went on exchanges an I got to spend a day in Meridian. We talked to a lady about Family History and it was incredible. That night we also found 2 new people to teach!! It was a good time.
We had an amazing lesson with Linda this week. She has been really struggling to read the Book of Mormon and after a long time she read the first chapter!! She also came with us to a Baptism that was so incredible. The spirit was so strong there.
The guy being baptized was from Pakistan and has gone through a long journey to get to the United States. It was so powerful. He learned about the church through the internet and had had to wait for years. It made me so grateful for the country that we live in and the religious freedom that we have.
So, story time! Keeping the streak going, Sister Ashworth as my 4th companion in this area got hurt! A little over a year ago she had surgery on her shoulder and this week while riding her bike she hurt something again. There is no cool story to it. The handlebars rammed into her arm that was locked and it did not have a good effect. The bruise on her shoulder keeps growing and it is really painful.
Our Mission Doctor had us schedule an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. So we called and they are able to get her in this Wednesday! That is a miracle since we were expecting it to take at least a few weeks to get in. We are hoping the news is not too bad and that she will not need surgery again. So for now we are not riding our bikes and are walking. This is my 3rd companion in a row to get hurt biking!
Saturday night we got asked to speak at a Sacrament service in a retirement home. So we got to go there and it was wonderful! While waiting for our ride we sat outside and talked with those that were smoking out in the cold. They was no better way to spend our Sunday :)
We get transfer calls this week so we will see what happens! I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!
Love,
Sister Beutler
