Boise Central 1 (Week 5)

This week has been wonderful as always! We went on exchanges at the beginning of the week and I spent the day with Sister Todd in another part of Boise! We also got to go to Garden City which was honestly a little interesting out there. The first person we met told us that they were probably going to jail that weekend but said we could come back if she ended up not going. That was an interesting day. We ended with a fantastic lesson though!
The next morning we woke up to snow and it snowed throughout the entire day.
We went to contact a woman that the Sisters before us had been teaching but hadn't met in a long time (like 8 months). We have been trying to meet her the whole time we have been here but have yet to make any contact. Well, on this day we stopped by and as we were leaving her husband pulled into the driveway and asked if we were the Missionaries. He told us to not give up on his wife. He said that she loves the gospel and has been reading the Book of Mormon. The only reason she has not responded to us is because she recently had a close family member pass away and is really struggling. He pleaded with us not to give up on her though. It opened my eyes to how much we don't know what's going on in other people's lives and we shouldn't give up on them.
We also got asked to sing and speak at a Relief society activity at a rest home. While there we ran into a lady that we would play Bingo with while I was in East Boise! And she remembered me! Everything went good, I mean we ended up only speaking to 2 ladies and one of them was asleep through the whole thing 😂.
Transfers come out next week already and I can hardly believe it! It feels like we just got here. We have 16 new Sister Missionaries coming out next week which is crazy!! So we will see what next week has in store! I love you all and hope you continue to have a wonderful week!

Love,
Sister Beutler
