Boise Central 1 (Week 4)

Hello everyone!
A lot more happend this week than I thought and it all kinda feels like a blur.
On Monday night Kennadi had her interview with President Porter and it kinda went all downhill. We met in the mission office and they went into his office. About 15 minutes later President Porter came out and said, "Sister Anglin can you come in here?" So now it was Kennadi, Sister Anglin, and President Porter all in this interview. I was sitting outside with the Young Women's President. It was determined that Kennadi's baptism should be postponed for a few weeks due to some things that she still needs to work on.
The hard thing was that after this decision was made we had to go tell Kennadi's mother. We knew Kennadi's mom was not going to be happy. We found out that she had told Kennadi to go into her interview and lie so that she would be able to be baptized this coming week. We were praying a lot that everything would go good. We were especially praying that Kennadi's mom would be kind with her. At the beginning of our conversation it was really rough. She was very not happy and tried to blame us a lot, but somehow things changed and by the end of it she she resolved to have a heart to heart with her daughter and use this as a teaching moment. We are so grateful for the spirit and that it was able to change her heart. The next day we got a text from her mom telling us that it went really good and she thanked us for talking with her. All of that was not us! The spirit was able to speak to them and they are growing so much more because of this challenge in their life!
This weekend we got to go back to Meridian for Catherine Ekemons baptism! If you remember she was the one that was getting kicked out of her school for being baptized. Wow! I am so proud of her for making this decision. It was pretty tough but I know she is going to be so blessed because of it!
The rest of our week was full of a lot of meetings. We spent all day Tuesday at MLC and Sister Anglin and I were asked to sing a musical number there. I am very happy it is all over with!
We also got a super cool referral for a woman named....Christy! We briefly met her and set up a return appointment for this week! So we will see how this week goes.
Thank you so much for all of your prayers! We really feel them and are so grateful for everyone's support! I hope you have a fantastic week!

Love,
Sister Beutler
