This has been a good busy week! We went to 2 district councils because my companion, Sister McPhee is a Sister Training Leader and was assigned to do trainings in the other districts. So I got to tag along and ended up having to do lots of role playing.
The church also just came out with 11 new pass along cards. They are pretty cool. 5 of them have questions on them, 2 are of the Book of Mormon and Bible, and the other 4 are pictures of Christ. They are amazing tools for sharing the gospel and I am excited to use them more.
This week we referred Daniel and Berna to the missionaries in their area. They said that they are open to the missionaries in their area teaching them. So we are no longer teaching them and I am sad about that, but excited for them to continue learning. We had another lesson fall through and rescheduled for next week. We had another lesson with a guy we are teaching. He is not really progressing and we are trying to help him understand that he really does have a testimony and that he doesn't have to know every little thing to know if the church is true.
Some funny/crazy things that happened this week is that I witnessed and talked to not one, but TWO women breast feeding their children openly in front of us!!!!! Why would you do that? The first one was a lady from nigeria. We were talking to here and her husband about the church and her child, who was probably almost 2, started fussing and acting like it wanted her to hold her. She picked up the child and just pulled down the front of her shirt and started feeding her!!! I was so shocked and had to keep it in. It took all of my focus to just look at her husband and not think about what was going on right next to him.
The other time was even more unexpected. We were tracting in an area and we knocked on one door. A woman answered while she was very openly breastfeeding her child (like we could literally see everything!). She was completely casual about the whole situation. We just had to act like nothing was going on and I focused on her eyes. She was of course not interested and we got out of there as fast as we could.

Is this not the strangest thing ever? I really just can't believe that it happened twice in the same week!
Other short highlights of the week are that there was apparently a bear running around our area that the police were chasing. We also had hail the size of ping pong balls for about 30 seconds one day. Thankfully we were inside and not out on our bikes. Really, this week was just full of very random things.
Oh! One more! We were tracting one cul-de-sac and saw the most hilarious sign on this door. I will send the picture of it. We ended up meeting the guy who lived there later and he was really nice but randomly told us to stay away from Las Vegas (where my companion is from) and South America.
I hope all goes well with everyone this week. It sounds like a busy one for everyone! Also, I am so excited for the changes they are making to the St. George temple! It is going to be amazing! I love you all!!!
Love,
Sister Beutler
