Boise East 4 (Week 28)

What a wonderful week!!

We are getting into the holidays which means good things are coming! We are super excited for Light the World to begin. If any of you don't know what that is you can check it out at churchofjesuschrist.org. There is a wonderful new nativity video that will be released soon and it is incredible. We got a sneak peak at it and it was so wonderful to see the birth of our Savior. I really felt the spirit so strong as I watched the humble means by which our Savior came into the world. I am so excited to continue to spread his gospel this Christmas season.
Sister Anglin and I have discovered what a good tool music is this week. We decided to go around and visit members and nonmembers alike and sing a song for them. Music brings the spirit so strong. Most of the miracles we saw were at night when it would have been easy to go home or turn. Our favorite song to sing with people is, "I Know that My Redeemer Lives." We felt like we should go see a Senior Couple that lives near us.  We went over and sang to them. They both started crying and after we finished they told us that they found out their grandson was dying and will not live for very much longer. They were leaving soon to visit and say goodbye to him. We were so glad that we listened to the spirit to go talk with them.
Another cool story with this... we decided to stop by and visit some members that were moving very soon. We sang to them and as we did so, the husband started bawling. We didn't know what to say so we just kept singing. After we finished he told us, "Sisters, I have a story to tell you." Then he proceeded to tell us about a miracle that happened to him a few days earlier. He had gone to work one morning and the whole day he kept thinking about his 2 kids who were home sick. He decided in his mind that when he got home he would give them a blessing. Well, during the day he had an accident and burnt the palm of his hand really bad. He was in so much pain and had to drive home from work one handed. He got home and was still determined to give his kids a blessing so he showered and did just that. He woke up early the next morning at 5:46 to leave for work and his hand was literally healed! He woke up his wife to show her and she was expecting to see it so much worse but it was completely healed. His injury that should have blistered awfully and lasted for weeks was gone. Miracles are so real and so is the power of the Priesthood!
We spent the rest of our week doing lots of service. We raked more leaves, helped clean a house, and biked a lot. I can now make it up all of the hills in our area!!
We also were very protected this week. We almost got hit by a truck one night as we were biking home in the dark. We had our bike lights on and reflector jackets but a truck whizzed by us and I could have reached out and touched it! After it passed us it veered off into the bike lane. We are very thankful that we made it home safely. Keep praying for us because we need it!
I love this gospel and this work! As you are all starting to think about Light the World coming up.... don't wait! You can start right now to light the world! I love you all!!

Love,
Sister Beutler
