This week has been another week of change! We got a call on Monday night from the AP's telling us that they needed us to take a Sister to the Mission Home the next day. We had a lot of missionaries with health issues get sent home last week. This was one of them. So we met her and her companion on Tuesday and had to say goodbye to some amazing missionaries.
From that moment we have been in a trio with Sister Leha'Uli. She is from Tonga and has been out on her mission for about 3 months. We LOVE her!!! She is usually serving in Mountain Home but will be staying with us until Transfers this Thursday!
On Wednesday we went on exchanges and I got to spend a day in my old area in East Boise! Wow, I miss that place! Just being back in that apartment was kinda weird. It was awesome though because we got to teach some lessons to my favorite members! We had a video call with the Scotts and the Kelleys. They were sure surprised to see me!
This week in Idaho, the Governor just came out with a stay at home order and it will be in effect for at least 30 days. So this is not letting up anytime soon. We get to leave our house only for essential things like grocery shopping, essential service, and helping out the Sisters that we cover.
We went and did service at the Bishops Storehouse this week and that was so great to do. I love service. I feel like it always pumps me up to do good and gives me more motivation.
We have been doing a lot of facebook work and have been figuring out more ways to get in contact with people through video call. There are so many ways! We have gotten the hang of this and are going to be starting up a weekly lesson/video call with our wards. We have been working with our Bishops to get that started and they are so excited to get the ward more involved.
MIRACLE TIME!!!! So, yesterday we got a text from an inactive woman in one of our wards. She told us that after many spiritual conversations with her daughter and after having this time to slow down and think she has decided that she wants to be baptized!!! We have tried so many times to meet with this family and have not gotten super enthusiastic responses in the past so this was a miracle to us. The mom asked how she could help her daughter, Natalya prepare and said that she has already encouraged her to study the Book of Mormon and she has been doing it! We are going to video call for a lesson this week and get the ward involved. The cool thing is that if the Coronavirus was not a thing, this would not have happened. This whole situation has given Natalya time to talk with her mom and study from the scriptures.
Craig also came to church again this week (I say church, but I mean he went to a member's house for the sacrament). He loves it and said that next week he is going to bring his mom who is also not a member!
Okay, and the best news of the week..... SISTER ANGLIN AND I ARE STAYING TOGETHER FOR ANOTHER TRANSFER!!!! We can hardly believe it! This will be 5 Transfers for us and just over 7 months together! We are staying in our area and staying STL's. We are so excited to continue together.
So even though these are hard times they are good times! There is good everywhere when we look for it. I am definitely learning that. I hope you all are seeing the good as well and that you are staying sane inside your homes! I love you!!
Love,
